BUDGET £50-60K

Heading over to Dublin this morning for a wedding held at the Bride’s family home (wow!) in Northern Ireland with a bridal coat, and decor inspired by her travels to India and pretty flower installations. A bohemian botanical vibe for the day, the church ceremony was followed by a beautiful marquee reception. And styled by the bride herself, there is no doubt that the day went off with a bang as it ended with a flurry of fireworks!

WHAT MADE OUR DAY UNIQUE

“Planning a wedding either at home or at a venue is extremely exciting as well as pretty daunting, but it is the opportunity to create something truly unique. We planned our wedding at my family home in Dublin, getting to create every detail of the wedding made it so personal & unique to Fred and I. As we have had it at home we made it a weekend affair and really prolonged the party, having the second day was brilliant, we were able to relax a lot more. My final reflection on having a wedding at home would be, though it is a big commitment, the pain is worth the gain. You get to create something which is a total reflection of you both, there is no end to the creatively you can achieve. – Rebecca & Fred

Bridal Coat

The Indian bridal coat was a highlight of this big day, and a nod to her travels and completely unique for this bride. Wanting something that could be worn again and having tried on several dresses without finding ‘the one’, Rebecca took it into her own hands and found a gorgeous detailed bridal coat from Indian designer Rohit Bal that she bought in India, when taken off it unveiled a beautiful beaded top and satin skirt that was made by a very talented friend. And not forgetting those super chic bridal trousers that the bride changed into for dancing until the early hours with all her guests!

INSPIRATION & STYLING

“We had a mix of influences for the design from India where I travel for work to the garden where the wedding was hosted. However, the fact that the wedding was in a garden we were inspired to create a bohemian botanical feel. The floral colour theme was very organic, greens and whites, lots of herbs and ferns interspersed with white sweet peas and peonies. The inside of the marquee was block printed to match our wedding stationery.” – Rebecca & Fred
